Make good use of Twitter to increase traffic and interest in your blog

Published by gruffalo84 at 3:47 pm under Blogging Edit This

Yes, I’m still packing. Totally not done. Not nearly. Moving tomorrow. Awesome.

Twitter! I’ve been “twittering” messages like the above all day, but Twitter has so many more utilities–many I’m sure I don’t know yet. It sends me CNN Politics headlines, tells me what music my friends are listening to (and tells them what I’m listening to)–check out Blip.fm–posts websites that might interest me, notifies my friends when I post to my blog, and generally just lets me know what my friends are doing (in a similar way that Facebook status does). Twitter is so simple, yet it can do so much. I’m really impressed and I’ve only just started using it.

If you have a blog, definitely check out Twitter and Twitterfeed. Interesting URLs get sent to Twitter-watching sites like Twitturl, which are commonly watched by web surfers. It definitely adds to my traffic and I’m sure it will do even more as I learn more about it.

If you join Twitter, or you’re already on it, follow me at twitter.com/jesshaberman. See you there!
