Demand for info on Sarah Palin producing waves in book publishing
I’ve written quite a few posts now on Kaylene Johnson’s biography on Sarah Palin, Sarah: How a Hockey Mom Turned Alaska’s Political Establishment Upside Down. Although I would like to mention that the book has gone back to press again for a 100,000 printing, bringing to total circulation of paperbacks to 350,000. Epicenter Press is having a great year!
But of course, the demand for information on the new VP pick is raging. Two new books on Sarah Palin will crash the market; Adams Media will publish 101 Things You—and John McCain—Didn’t Know About Sarah Palin and Zondervan will publish Sarah Palin: A New Kind of Leader. Both books will pub before the election.
According to PW Daily:
In Sarah Palin: A New Kind of Leader, author Joe Hilley explores themes from Palin’s career, family life and Christian faith to illustrate the leadership principles that guide her. Zondervan plans a 100,000-copy first printing…
As for 101 Things You—and John McCain—Didn’t Know About Sarah Palin by Gregory Bergman:
It had an estimated print run of 25,000 planned. The $9.95 paperback features content based on reported Sarah Palin facts, with humorous commentary… The book will also be available as a Kindle e-book, and a Web site, 101thingsaboutsarahpalin.com, will go live by September 22.
Which one do YOU want to read? I’m liking Adams’s version right now… (the one the Dems will be buying, right?)
